This early bracelet from the 1920's, probably would have been one of the grand tour items that travelers brought back from their trips abroad. The hamsa provides superstitious defense against the evil eye. Sometimes called the hand of  Fatima ( christians call it the hand of Mary), or the Hand of Miriam ( for the sister of Moses) This one has a tiny star hallmark on the back. . The bracelet measures from 7- 8" ( it has an extender) and is 1 1/4" wide. It also has the Hamsa charm at the end. Notice the intricate detail of each link with the tiny gill work. It has some good weight to it and more silver content than the plated ones. One tiny piece of filigree missing on one end.
