Summary: A good vocabulary is a key to success in school and in life. The accumlation of a good vocabulary is seldom an easy task, but this book is designed to simplify the process.
It includes words from the areas of literature and language skills, math, social studies, science, and life survival skills.
Each lesson focuses on 5 to 6 new vocabulary words. Reading level is targeted for struggling readers. This way, students with difficulties in reading can still acquire the vocabulary they need to function at their grade level.
Multi-page lessons include a reading comprehension selection to introduce the vocabulary words and follow-up activities to reinforce learning. Several assessments are included to gauge student performance and progress.
