YOUNG BANK CLERK
by Arthur M Winfield
H.M. Caldwell Co., early 1900s
Condition: See Description

The author of this book was really Edward Stratemeyer, creator of Tom Swift and the Hardy Boys. Winfield is the name he also used on the Rover Boys series. The title of this book is misleading -- this is really a lively boys' mystery/adventure novel. Illustrated cover and some neat full-page illustrations inside. It is a reprint of a Street & Smith book. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A LARGE CORNER TORN OFF ONE PAGE WITH SOME TEXT LOSS. Also some fc flaking and modest corner wear. Inside: two edge tears, some corner creases and staining and black marks on some pages. Otherwise, quite a nice-looking copy. If not for the partial page loss (which accounts for the discounted price), it would be graded close to very good. The title has been out of print for over a century and is scarce.
