1959 Gillette "FATBOY" Double Edge Safety Razor, date code E1. The twist (TTO) action to open the butterfly doors is crisp as well as the turning of the numbered collar to adjust the shave, as each number clicks. The adjuster plate raises and lowers slightly as it should when you adjust the shave. The lower the number, the less likely you will knick your skin. As the pictures indicate, there is no pitting, brassing or corrosion.

The black paint on the numbers and collar is in Excellent Condition. This razor design is tried and true and is both a work horse and a show horse. The razor has had a thorough cleaning, sanitized, oiled and is ready to use. In some of the pictures you may see small amounts of black residue, don't worry that's just leftover polish that will come off easily with a toothbrush, I guess my eyes aren't as good as they used to be.
