SUNBEAMS: HUMOR, SARCASM AND SENSE

by Geo. W. Peck

Jamieson-Higgins Co., Chicago, 1902

Condition: Near Very Good

By 1902, when this early printing of SUNBEAMS was printed, Peck had been a newspaper editor (Peck's Sun), author of a number of books (principally his PECK'S BAD BOY series), mayor of Milwaukee and governor of Wisconsin.  This, like most of his books, was a collection of humorous pieces first pubished in his newspaper.  Some of the more unusual titles: "Bi-Meatallic Sausage", "The Goat Meat Habit", "The Hen in Politics", "Elephant Hunting in Wisconsin" and "Should Woman Be Eaten?".  Fifty illustrations by Ike Morgan.  Wear and bumps on corners (affecting some page corners),  slight spine end wear and fading, paper tears at  hinges (but binding is still secure), some small page corner creases, age toning of pages.  SCARCE.
