This wonderful set of two large original vintage 1940's Audubon color bird book prints would be so lovely framed as a wall hanging. Antique prints featuring a pair of Great Horned Owls and the stately Bald Eagle. These were not cut from a book, they were originally printed and placed in a boxed set.

They are not copies but originals taken from the same boxed set. Sadly, I can not sell the entire box as a complete set because I found it missing 12 prints. So I decided to keep some together by selling as a set. That way you get a near match on the background color. Due to the age, it will be a slight "patina", which indicates to all that see it that it is an original vintage print.

Very Good, top condition with the image area pristine without marks, rips, or stains. Beautiful.brilliant coloring remains. Background color is not darkened, it is a nice ivory.

John J. Audubon ornithology lithographs from Audubon’s Birds of America loose folio series of the 1940's. On the back side is a descriptive commentary by Roger Tory Peterson, published by The Macmillan Company.

9" x 12". Printed in U.S.A.
