This pretty women's shirt is not just plain Jane. It's a light weight but sturdy woven fabric in neutrals of brown, beige, and black. Buttons are covered by a flap. Size 6, small.

Nice for office, or paired with a pretty jacket. It obviously came from a high end store as that is where **Ellen Kate always shopped.

NOTE: Most photos have a white shirt underneath in order to show the fabric pattern and color. The second image shows it without a shirt underneath and u can see the wire metal dress form through -- it is see through - would look very sexy with a lacy full black slip underneath. A great sheer shirt!

Label: Lafayette 148, size 6, made in USA.
Lafayette 148 New York is the labels Manhattan street address. Selling to high end stores.

No fabric tag (I hand wash all my vintage and hang dry). Putting in the dryer might cause it to shrink.
It's a woven fabric that is see through.

Laying garment flat -
Top Shoulder to shoulder = 13"
Underarms Across Chest Front = 16"
Waist = 16"
Hips = 17"
Sleeve from Shoulder Seam to cuff = 21"

**Ellen Kate's Closet - Born in 1918, Ellen Kate was a very fashionable woman who was involved with many Ladies and Professional Business Clubs during her lifetime. She even ran for Town Council in the 1950's when no other woman had ever served on council (and lost probably because she was a woman). She lived a busy vibrant life raising 3 young children on her own after her husband passed away early in their marriage. She was always interested in politics, an avid swimmer, healthy eater, and party goer. Her closets contain wonderful vintage fashions from the 40s through the 90s. Hundreds of shoes, hats, gowns, and gloves worn to business functions or weekend parties. A history of Newspaper clippings show off her many fashions, no outfit ever the same. Most of her items were worn very few times so condition of her items is very nice. All hats are in original boxes as are the majority of her shoes.
