Antique Cabinet Card Photograph. Identified on reverse side as Anna Botsford. There is an additional reference to "Vergennes" beneath her name, possibly Vergennes, Vermont. Photo by Bronson Art Photographer, Bridgeport, CT. Measures approximately 4.25 x 6.5 including mount. Condition: This is an original photograph, not a copy or reproduction. It is in fair condition, with spotting and very light in contrast. Comments: There is a possibility this is the well-known environmentalist Anna Botsford Comstock (September 1, 1854 - August 24, 1930), who was an American artist, educator, conservationist, and a leader of the nature study movement, born in Otto, New York, to Marvin and Phebe Irish Botsford. However, we have not been able to make a positive determination.
