This is a boxed 12 inch 2nd. U.S. 'Berdan' Sharpshooter action figure with 20 points of articulation for realistic poses. Made by Sideshow Collectibles in 2001. A sold out, limited edition of 5,000. The box has never been opened and is in excellent condition with shelf wear. Box has a historical write-up on inside flap cover. The Sharpshooter Regiments were comprised of hand picked marksmen and their distinctive green uniforms were influenced by European riflemen and were an early attempt at a practical form of camouflage. Figure includes:
