Here's an AWESOME Fisher Price Little People #994 Play Family Camper (1973-76) that is 100% COMPLETE! This playset is a CLASSIC Fisher Price toy and one that all Fisher Price collectors covet. When you push the camper, it makes a motor sound and the people in the front seat bounce up and down. The camper home detaches from the pick-up truck and the rowboat fits on top of the camper's sunroof. While it's pull string is intact, there are numerous kinks in it. All in all, I would gauge this playset to be in VG++ - EXC condition.

The EXTERIOR lithos of the TRUCK are intact but display two pin-head size punctures on the left hand litho. These are EXTREMELY hard to see. The right hand truck litho evidences one, vertical bubble (@1/4"L x 1/8" W) up towards the upper margin of that litho. Once again, this is hard to detect. You literally have to hold the truck up within 3" of your eyes and tilt it in the light to detect this bubble. The dashboard litho is FLAWLESS (MINT). There are no stains, marks, or tears etc. on any of these EXTERIOR truck lithos. In general, I would categorize these original truck lithos as being in EXC+++-NEAR MINT condition.

Although the EXTERIOR CAMPER lithos are all present, the left hand litho exhibits some rubs on the litho nearest the overhead bunks. These are not egregious in nature. The right hand EXTERIOR CAMPER litho is GORGEOUS, with only a few rubs along the upper and lower edges. These rubs are no bigger than the width of a human hair. In my opinion, the Camper lithos are in EXC++-NEAR MINT condition.

The INTERIOR CAMPER lithos are in WONDERFUL shape. Other than one, 1/4" in diameter light brown stain on the floor litho, they're virtually BLEMISH FREE (EXC+++). The colors and graphics of the countertop lithos are crisp and bright. Overall, I would rate the INTERIOR CAMPER lithos as being in EXC+++-NEAR MINT condition.

The INTERIOR BOAT litho is PERFECT (MINT). The bottom of the boat demonstrates a few light scratches and indentations on the bottom edges of the boat. These DEFINITELY do not detract from the overall appearance of the boat while it is in play or on display.

Inside the CAMPER unit, the overhead beds are missing its original foam. This is a common occurrence. Most of the foam in these sets has deteriorated over time due to dry rot. I 've already scrubbed these bunks to remove the remnants of this original foam. What you see in my photos is where the original glue refused to release traces of the original foam.

The plastic surfaces of the truck, camper, and boat have generally retained their original colors. The yellow plastic trim has slightly darkened over time. The wheels of the truck show a minimal amount of "road wear." The truck still emits a robust ratchety sound as it is pulled or pushed. The ONLY "imperfections" I can find are:

1. Some faint scuffing on the side rails, some indentations on the top of the roll bar and front edges of the truck, and a couple of teensy indentations on the upper and lower edge of the white bumper;

2. One, 3/4" L crack on the right front bumper of the truck; I've repaired this with Super Glue so it should not pose any future problems; I'm being super "nit-picky" so that no one will be disappointed by this piece. Many of my former customers have stated the items they have purchased from me far surpassed their expectations;

3. The left side of the camper top exhibits one, 1/2" L crack on the yellow trim adjacent to the back porch next to the red doors. Once again, I have already repaired this with Super Glue so it will not pose any future concerns.

This REMARKABLE Camper playset also contains the following accessories:

1 HTF red table with hot dog litho (NEAR MINT--one pin-head scratch towards one end of the litho);

1 VHTF red patio table with yellow umbrella (NEAR MINT--teensy amount of wear on the underneath edge of the table; all of the scallops are intact);

1 HTF yellow grill (VG+--some "nibbles" on the lower edge of two of the grill's legs; also, one tear, @1/8" L x 1/8" W on the litho's edge; rest of litho is great; if someone would like a replacement litho for this, I do have one available that I can supply. I offer these as a service to my customers. I obtain these from a seller in British Columbia; they are of high quality sticky-back paper and water resistent ink; I do not apply these on my own as I don't want prospective customers to think I'm selling "doctored" sets; instead, I leave it up to the buyer to remove the old litho and apply the new one; this is easily done and I'll be happy to supply the buyer with instructions on how to do this; with a replacement or reproduction litho, this grill would be in EXC+ condition);

1 RARE red ladder (EXC++-NEAR MINT-some light scuffs and two, miniscule teethmarks on one of the hooks on both ends of the ladder; these are challenging to see);

4 HTF red captain's chairs with triangles on back of chairs (4 VG++-EXC+--minor edge wear on the front of the seats);

1 HTF yellow motorcycle (MINT);

1 HTF white potty (MINT);

and 1 HTF white single sink (MINTY MINT).

The set also includes 4 WOOD/plastic Little People and 1 ALL PLASTIC LUCKY:

1 HTF, tall, WOOD/plastic, green bodied Dad with black heat-stamped hair (EXC++-NEAR MINT--minor fading to eyebrows; rest is MINTY MINT;

1 VHTF, WOOD/plastic, yellow bodied boy with red cap facing forward, freckles, frown (EXC-EXC+--some dulling of yellow paint consistent with age; some tiny scratches on hat brim due to child's teeth; one pin-head size black dot on rear of cap; I tried to remove this but it wouldn't come off);

1 HTF, WOOD/plastic, tall, blue bodied Mom with blonde pony (EXC-minor paint loss around middle of piece consistent with age);

1 VHTF, WOOD/plastic, red bodied girl with bobbed blonde hair w/bangs (MINT); and

1 ALL PLASTIC, Lucky, the dog, with red collar (EXC++-NEAR MINT--head is a tad loose).

I've tried to be as thorough and honest about this set as I can. I'd rather be "nit-picky" than have someone disappointed in what they were purchasing. All in all, this is a GREAT playset for either an avid Fisher Price collector or some lucky child.

I have already thoroughly cleaned this playset using a variety of cleaning products: Q-tips, toothpicks, a child's tooth brush, Dawn, Soft Scrub, Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, Goo Gone, Oops, Clorox Bleach Pen etc. It's IMMACULATE!

This offering also affords the original box accompanying this playset. The box isn't perfect with some extraneous tape, edge wear on the edges and corners, tears on the flaps, rubs and scratches on the illustrations, some light stains on the bottom, the remnants of the original price tag, some creasing etc. The box does contain its original packing materials to cradle the boat separately from the Camper and Truck. On a scale from 1-10 with 10 being MINT, I would rate this box as being a 7.5/10.

REMEMBER, this VINTAGE Fisher Price playset is NOT included in the recent Fisher Price recall of toys manufactured in China. This playset was manufactured in the good ole' U.S.A. in 1973!!!! It's 39 years young and still personifies Fisher Price's reputation for imaginative, durable toys.

This toy represents the "GOLDEN AGE" of Fisher Price toys---when kids could be kids and exercise their own imaginations instead of sitting there passively and watching a toy do everything for them. I primarily utilize Fed Ex Home Delivery for items exceeding 5 lbs. in weight, measuring greater than 12 inches in any dimension, or traveling longer distances. I’ve been finding Fed Ex has been running @33% cheaper than the USPS (including Parcel Post) and UPS Ground. FYI, another benefit of using either Fed Ex or UPS is that their quote includes up to $100 worth of FREE insurance. Additional amounts of insurance may be purchased for a nominal fee (that is much less than the USPS). Fed Ex also provides automated tracking updates re: your parcel’s whereabouts directly to your personal e-mail account.

In order to ship Fed Ex (or UPS for that matter), I MUST have a residential or work place address, NOT a P.O. Box number, as well as a home or cell phone. Otherwise, they will not accept the shipping paperwork or transport your item.


Packages traveling to Alaska or Hawaii will be shipped Parcel Post via the USPS. Insurance and delivery confirmation are required.

I’m more than willing to combine multiple purchases into one box whenever it is safe to do so to decrease your shipping costs.
