ONCE IN A HUNDRED
Colorado Centennial-Bicentennial Commission
Hardbound Edition, 1977
Condition: Fine (no dj, as issued)

This isn't a history of Colorado -- it's a book about the 1976 Colorado Centennial celebration itself. Beginning with a chronicle of the planning for the Centennial year (beginning in 1971), it goes on to describe Colorado Day, the principal day of celebration, the statewide programs and the projects and events by region and county. There's also a Commission Album, information on finance and marketing and profiles of the Commission members. Most available copies of this book are the softbound edition; this is the uncommon original hardbound edition. One of the best and reasonably-priced copies you'll find.
