Vintage original 47x63 in. French Grande poster from the classic 1960's drama' THE CARPETBAGGERS, based upon the blockbuster novel by Harold Robbins, released in 1964 by Paramount Pictures and directed by Edward Dmytryk. Jonas Cord (George Peppard) is a disagreeable rich young tycoon on the corporate make, with some subplots about booze, broads and Hollywood in the 1930's.

The artwork on this large-format French grande poster features a very sexy image of Rina Marlowe Cord (Carroll Baker) as she bites the hand of her husband, Jonas (George Peppard). Both actors are depicted in white which is complimented by the blue background around them. This beautiful poster was designed by the French artist Landi and bears his signature vertically along the center of the left border (see photo). Folded as originally issued, it is unrestored and in very fine condition with the only items being a v-shaped split at the center fold and tiny signs of separation at the top and bottom crossfolds. The colors are fresh and vibrant and this poster is gorgeous when seen in person.
