The satyr and The Girl Solid Bronze Statue by Clodion

As Dionysiac creatures, Satyrs are lovers of wine and women and they are ready for every physical pleasure. They roam to the music of pipes (auloi), cymbals, castanets, and bagpipes, and they love to dance with the nymphs (with whom they are obsessed, and whom they often pursue), and have a special form of dance called sikinnis. Because of their love of wine, they are often represented holding wine cups, and they often appear in the decorations on wine cups. Dimensions: 21"H x 12"W.

This statue is reproduced in the finest bronze using the “lost wax” casting process. Mounted o na fine marble base and bearing an etched brass plate and the artist signature at the bottom of the bronze, Please allow 3-4 weeks for completion and delivery.
