This album is the companion piece. Several of the songs consist of readings from the book, or from the journal Julia has kept during their time together. That said, THE UNIMAGINABLE LIFE is a deeply spiritual and sincere album, from Julia's metaphysical spoken word pieces to Kenny's ultra-earnest pop production numbers. Boasting an army of well-known session cats and a wide variety of instrumentation culled from the world music palette, the album ranges from moody and atmospheric to slick and powerful. It provides an intense, albeit soft-focus, glimpse into the love of Kenny & Julia Loggins, and THE UNIMAGINABLE LIFE they lead.
