Very good/near fine matte picture cover #56, the last volume in the Grosset & Dunlap original series. 179 pages. Oval endpapers.

It lists to itself on the back of the book, and in the order blank in the back pages, BUT the reference at the bottom of p. 178 is to Secret of the Old Clock, and NOT to The Triple Hoax. That makes this the third and last Grosset & Dunlap edition, before the glossies followed.

So - NOT a first or second edition, but the last of three Grosset & Dunlap editions, fading fast off the availability lists, and it's an extremely clean, tight book, in nearly perfect condition except for a slight bit of edgewear at the left of the front cover edge. No writing/markings.

This one, like the other two G&D Pearl printings before it, will become scarcer collectors' items. Many "complete" Nancy sets come without the last two books, Mystery of Crocodile Island and Thirteenth Pearl.
