Description

Item: A leather wrapped steering wheel for a 1976-1986 Jeep CJ-7 with the Laredo package.

Manufacturer: Jeep, American Motors Corporation.

Condition: The steering wheel is in good used shape. The leather is in overall good shape, but it does have wear after 30+ years. There are cuts, dings, and other marks in the leather. It seems to be heaviest towards the top of the steering wheel. Perhaps this could be repaired further, or a steering wheel cover could be used, or it could still be used as is. The horn button is in very good shape. It doesn’t seem to have any major wear or damage, though it does feel a bit loose on the wheel. It still is well attached and isn’t going to easily come off. The horn button emblem is in great shape. It shows little to no signs of wear or crazing. The colors look perfect. The emblem also feels a bit loose like the horn button, but it isn’t going to just fall off. I’ve taken as many pictures as I possibly could so that you can have a good idea of the condition.

Measurements: The steering wheel is 15” in diameter.

Other Information: From what I have researched, this steering wheel came with Jeep CJ-7’s that had the Laredo package. This is not the common CJ or YJ steering wheel. This might work in other Jeeps, but I am not sure. I’ve cleaned it up to the best of my ability. From the amount of dirt and dust that covered this steering wheel when I got it, it looked like it had been sitting in a garage for a long time. This is an original steering wheel, not a cheap knock off or reproduction. Please be sure this is the correct part you need before purchasing. A great OEM steering wheel to replace your worn, broken, or missing steering wheel or to upgrade your standard wheel in your classic Jeep!
