Many of these types of Porcelain Bisque Figurines were made in Japan and imported during the late 1960's period craze for all things to accessorize our homes with and have quickly become collectible items over time. This figurine is no exception.

The Farmer Brown figurine has a face that resembles the sleuth detective "Columbo", or one of the many movie character's that Peter Falk may have played. Whether or not he looks like him, it's still and amazing figurine to add to a collection of vintage Porcelain Bisque pieces. The label on the bottom has since disappeared long ago, therefore I do not have a manufacturer's name or mark on it. It's in excellent condition for its age showing some minor paint scuffing on the hat, which I believe was more of a manufacturing flaw than actual scuffing due to age or handling. However, it does not detract from the purpose or value of this piece.

CONDITION: This figurine measures approximately 4-1/4" inches tall by 1-1/2" inches wide. There are no cracks, crazing, fleabites or chips and is in excellent vintage condition.

DETAILS: As with all vintage stoneware, ceramic, or porcelain items, there may be pottery irregularities such as, bumps, bubbles, glaze pops, dips and glazing slips, color variations, ink/paint spots under the glaze, mold lines, etc., within or on each piece from the manufacturing process. These are things that happen when pottery is manufactured or fired. However, this does not take away value from the overall purpose and look of these beautiful china pieces. Any chips, cracks, fleabites, scratches and crazing etc., which has happened after the manufacturing of the item, will be described as such in the paragraph above.

FINE PRINT: As with most antique and vintage items I do not clean, polish or in any way change the content of this item due to possibly affecting its original prominence and value. I leave that decision up to the new owner and reselling this item “As Is – As Found”.

And… as with ANY vintage item they have been previously owned so there may be signs of normal wear. Look at pictures carefully to determine item condition for yourself before you purchase.
