This is a beautiful mid 1930’s antique woven Tapestry depicting a Seafaring Fisherman "Salty Dog" offloading from his boat on shore in lovely muted earth tone colors of salmon pink, blues, beiges, tans, browns, olive, grays and black. I believe this to be woven silk & cotton blend threads as was common during that period with the threading tightly knitted together making this a solid textile. This vintage tapestry is stamped on the back “Made in France” and has more of a deeper richer caramel color in hand, than what the photos show in direct sunlight.

THE DETAILS: It is in Excellent Condition showing no stains, holes, tears, fading, pulled threads or loss in the fabric. It measures 28” wide by 50” inches tall. You can take this and have it framed or hang it directly on your wall on a rod. This is a very clean antique tapestry textile although is could use a professional cleaning.

FINE PRINT: As with most antique and vintage items I normally do not clean, polish or in any way change the content of this item due to possibly affecting its original prominence and value. I leave that decision up to the new owner and selling this item “As Is – As Found”.
