This is the 2nd piece of the Norse Goddess Hel Leather Fantasy Armor which is a Custom (one-of-a-kind) Single Shoulder Pauldron Skull Shoulder Armor that was specifically made for a fantasy Viking Mythology character for a renaissance faire. Description: This fantasy armor is in black with a sculpted skull on top. It has three articulating pieces with the last two bottom ones with writing in Rune. The leather has a slightly wrinkled texture to the first top piece as if the skin was beginning to decay with the skull completely hand formed and looking like the flesh has just been stripped off the bone leaving a bloody effect. The strap goes across the chest and over the should and is adjustable.. This is hard formed leather and approximately 1/8" inch thick. Condition is Excellent showing only some minor stain scuffing along the edges from having been kept in a box in storage and moved around a bit. However, it does not take away from the use or function of the item and makes it look battle weary and ancient.

The Rune writing spells out the following:

1st flap - the Skull

2nd flap down: MY HOPE

3rd flap down: IS IN GOD

I will be parting out other pieces of this custom costume. There are arm bracers or vambraces, shin leg guards, a belt, skull eye patch and a breastplate. Some pieces have writing in Rune engraved on them and others don't. One side is for the living and the other for the dead showing some skeletal bones which are also handcrafted and formed out of leather. This costume has only been worn once.

Some pieces had quality issues and may need some attention from a leather-smith. I have done what I can to make this right but unfortunately, that didn't happen as expected when dealing with a long distance vendor and communication can get rather complicated due to personal issues. So I leave that up to the buyer to decide on the other pieces and will describe any issues. This leather pauldron has no such issues and is in excellent condition.
