HISTORY: Avon's 1876 Cape Cod Collection in ruby red is one of the most beautiful and sought after vintage patterns.

The line was introduced in 1975 to commemorate the 1876 Philadelphia Centennial.

The pattern was inspired by the lacy delicacy of the Boston and Sandwich Glass Works' Roman Rosette pattern.

The Avon Reproduction Sandwich Glass was made by traditional methods, which is an early American pressed glass process called "Sandwich."

The patterns used lacy intricate designs with fine background stippling and a sparkling brilliance that reflected craftsmanship.

Avon produced this line from 1975 through 1992, introducing 37 stunning, formal dining pieces.
