This large brooch ( 1 3/4" long) is set in solid sterling with two marcasites on either side of this short haired flapper face. The brooch is quite heavy and has delicate lace filigree all around this beautiful unusual cameo face. Age had darkened it nicely and that just adds to the beautiful coloring of this carved shell. It is marked sterling on the back.
