There's no longer any need to hassle with having to reach behind the nightstand or crawling under the desk to plug your cell phone charger or laptop power cords in. Just plug in this heavy duty dual outlet powerstation and keep it where you need it...on top of that nightstand or desk. The thick eight-foot transparent 3-prong power cord plugs into any grounded wall outlet, and supplies power to the decorative polished stainless steel casing that features twin power outlets for laptop computers, cell phones, and other devices.
The outlets are conveniently placed at a 45 degree angle for easy access, and are amply spaced @ 1 1/2” apart to accommodate larger power transformers without covering both plugs. The body of the unit weighs about one pound and has a non-skid padding on the bottom to protect the surface it is sitting on, and to keep it from sliding around freely.
These power stations were originally designed for use in hotel/motel rooms. In order to deter guests from using the convenient outlets to power high-consumption appliances or devices that run up the hotel's electricity bills, stickers were placed on the unit stating “120V 4A MAX ~ Cell & Laptops Only”. However, the power cord is heavy duty and UL rated @ 10A - 300V – 105°C/221°F, so it should be able to handle larger devices and appliances without any difficulty, making it a handy thing to keep on the workbench to power tools or test lamps and other electrical devices.
The unit is safely grounded when the cord is plugged into an appropriate outlet. It has dozens of great uses in the home, office, and workshop, and serves as a perfect for bedside charging station or desktop power source. It's small enough to fit into a suitcase or laptop bag, so it's highly portable, too. Overall measurements of the unit are 5”W x 2”H x 2 1/2”D.
