1950's vintage Mercedes hardtop in red., made of plastic. Measures 2" long X 3/4" wide.which is 1:87 HO scale or very close to it. No chips or cracks., the top may have some very light scuffing but retains a nice shine

I have not found much on this car but it has the same characteristics as the VW versions I have listed and have seen.Marked on base with Only a logo that looks like a WW (with one of the w's upside down).

The below is my written note on the VW cars and does not specifically apply to this Mercedes car but here for your reading/research.

Marked on base "Made in Germany" and a logo that looks like a WW (with one of the w's upside down). I have been told by a few people that the beetle versions(I also have several of those listed for sale) similar to this were given out at the dealerships in the 50's as a promotional item. I also came across a pair of beetles that had sold online that included a written letter from the original owner that stated the same thing but dated it to 1956 specifically.
