First published in 1936 & 1937, these two short novels are among the best of The Shadow stories. This is their first appearance in book form (oversized softbound), the first Shadow stories to be reprinted in facsimile (with two-column text and the original illustrations by Ed Cartier) and among the first to be reprinted in unabridged form. Also included are two new introductory essays by Walter B. Gibson and John L. Nanovic. Mostly light exterior wear (original price rubbed out, small chip at spine bottom, light corner and edge wear, light cover rubbing); interior has light bumping on top edges, couple other minor defects. The binding is tight, the pages are white; overall, this is a sharp copy.
