How to Measure
(This is NOT the shirt you are purchasing)

Pit to pit ~ Lay the shirt flat and measure the front from side seam to side seam,
just under the arm.
This measurement doubled is the chest size

Back length ~ Turn the shirt over and from the back measure from the collar seam
to the hem of the shirt

About Sizes for Men's Shirts
(Over time men's shirt sizes have changed. Ultimately, you should measure a shirt you own, of a similar style you like the fit of, and compare to the measurements of the listed item, and not the size designations. Manufacturers size ranges and designations can vary. The sizes below are the most commonly recognized sizes, and represent chest measurement, which is 2 times the "pit-to-pit" measurement. If the size mentioned on the label does not conform to these measurement conventions, it is because the manufacturer of the shirt you are looking at has decided not to use the conventional standards. In cases where a label is missing on an older shirt, I have used the sizes below)

Returns

  • Returns: We will accept returns, if we have unintentionally misrepresented an item. Refunds will be given once we receive the unwanted item, and we will pay the total cost of the item (including shipping) plus your cost to ship the cheapest way. It is never our intention to get it wrong, though sometimes we do, and we regret any inconvenience to you. We will not accept returns under most circumstances, however, for things such as buyer's remorse, or any of the other following reasons, and any other circumstances at our discretion, which may not be listed.
    • Color:
Characterizations of color are broad, and we will not accept items because they are the wrong shade of a color. Your own computer monitor settings may alter color.
    • Measurements:
We measure items in inches, and it is the responsibility of the buyer to convert to any other forms of measurement if needed, such as the metric system. We will only accept a "wrong size" return if we have stated one measurement, when the item is actually a different measurement. We generally under-measure rather than over-measure, and use a steel tape (cloth and paper measuring devices can stretch over time); for example, when in doubt, if a shirt is close to 23 inches pit to pit, we will list it as 22.5 inches, and select 22 inches pit to pit in our store category. The key is for you to measure a shirt you own and compare it to the pit to pit and other measurements we have listed.
ALWAYS MEASURE AN ITEM WHICH CURRENTLY FITS YOU: DO NOT MEASURE YOUR BODY.
    • If we have listed a shirt incorrectly
as a large, when the picture shows and the item you receive are a different size, but the measurements listed are accurate, we will not accept a return. If measurements other than those listed are needed, it is the responsibility of the buyer to request information before the sale; we will not accept a return because important information was lacking, but a buyer purchased it anyway.
    • Previous owners markings:
sometimes on a previously owned garment, the owner marks the item with a name, etc. Generally, if the mark is not visible when the item is worn, we would not accept a return.
