This is an extremely rare and TOTALLY FETCHING vintage Betsey Johnson New York stretch velvet body hugging dress with flippy flared hem. Oh my gosh, it's to die for!
Size Small. Shown on a size 2 dress form, which measures 32 - 27 - 35.5.
I believe it dates to the 90s.
Made in the USA.
Stretch velvet with a beautiful luster and sensuous soft silky feel.
64% acetate, 26% polyamide, 10% elastane
The background is brown, but it has a subtle flash of purple too.
Printed in a ribbon and roses bouquet design, in hot pink, pink, magenta, yellow, and chartreuse.
Sweetheart neckline, deep cut, with stretch french lace edging.
Ruched at center front bust.
Three-quarter length sleeves with french lace at hem.
Very form fitting.
Flares dramatically at the hem, with godet insets of point d'esptrit lace in brown.
In pristine vintage condition. This was in my daughter's personal vintage collection, and I don't think she ever wore it. She is a size 0, and I do remember when I bought it for her, she tried it on and it looked fabulous on her!
