The saucer plant usually has only one main stem that does not branch, and can grow up to 3 feet tall, with its rosette measuring up to 1 foot wide. During its flowering season, the yellow pagoda-shaped corolla is very noticeable. After the flowers fade, all of the upper leaves wither and die, and many small lateral buds sprout on the lower stem near the ground.
