Musician, author and legendary composer of bossa nova, Tom Jobim (1927 - 1994) left an indelible mark on Brazilian music, jazz and simply on the history of 20th century music. Bossas, sambas, choros and other Brazilian rhythms, popular and ultra-sophisticated songs from a melodic and harmonic point of view, but also some pieces of classical music, his works of art are infinite: Chega de Saudade (1958), Desafinado (1959) or Aguas de Março (1972), for example. He produced more than 50 albums with impressive musical partners such as Vinicius de Moraes, Chico Buarque, Toquinho, Dolores Duran, Newton Mendonça and Aloysio de Oliveira.

Tom Jobim became world famous in 1963 with one of his compositions written in a bar in Rio de Janeiro: Garota de Ipanema. This song, whose original lyrics are by Vinicius de Moraes, had several versions, including one in English, performed by Frank Sinatra, which was very successful. In his legacy, the Rio de Janeiro International Airport and a bronze statue of the singer and composer on the famous Ipanema Beach pay tribute to Antônio Carlos Jobim, the genius of Brazilian popular music.

Here we do not know exactly who Bruno was (probably a musician who collaborated with Jobim) nor the precise meaning of this affectionate dedication, but some parts are known: "Nothing like wings, ocean of the sky" is an excerpt from the prose of this album Urubu, which introduced the public to classics such as "Lígia" and "Correnteza", later re-recorded several times by great names in music: Jereba is an important vulture and that is why it has gained many names. [...] Nothing like wings. Ocean of the sky. Vulture-seeker. Vulture-finder. Who knows from above what is hidden in the ground of the virgin forest and the many perfumes that rise from the world. And the advantages of a fire. And what the highway offers. Eternal watchman of an imperishable time. Guardian of two absurdities [...].

Tom Jobim is one of the legends of Brazilian music, one of the inspirations of Bossa Nova: he is known worldwide for his compositions. It is extremely rare for his autographed documents to appear on the market, this dedication is triply interesting: the text, which is extensive, contains famous references and is on the back cover of one of his most famous albums, released in 1976, at the artist's peak, in addition to Tom's signature on the album cover.
