Beautiful antique shaving mug gives us an idea of what shaving was like for a man in the Victorian era. It is decorated with flowers and a REMEMBER ME message on a scroll across the front. Likely it was a gift to a man in the family from a female relative.
Good antique condition. No cracks. The Made in Germany mark on the bottom has some rub wear, but still readable. Gold at top rim mostly worn away from use. Lovely presentation. Very light interior stain mark. A small spot of misplaced paint on the side of the mug (see last photo). Please see photos.
It would make a great Victorian style decoration or could be a shaving mug again. Measurements shown in photos.
