Description
This is a chic little knit bombshell wiggle dress, vintage late 50s / early 60's. Has a Mad Men vibe.
Brand: Kay Whitney by Huntington.
Size: Unmarked for size. I'd say it is a small. 36" bust unstretched. 28" waist. Check all measurements to those on something you already own that fits well.
Fabric: slinky nylon-type knit jersey
Colors: pale yellow, avocado green, chartreuse, white
Square neckline
Fabulous vintage print of roses and foliage
Button tab at one shoulder, with oversized chartreuse pearl buttons
Button tab trim at opposite hip, with patch pocket
Side metal zipper
Belt is missing - I've tied a green grosgrain ribbon round, which looks fabulous. I can include that if you desire.
Dress has a shapely fitted bombshell fit. Shown unclipped on my size 4 dress form, which measures 34 - 25 - 34.5
The fabric has some stretch, and is slinky and drapes over your shape to accent your curves.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. There was some stress in the fabric at the corner of the pocket. I put a bit of interfacing on the back to stabilize and reinforce it, and it is not noticeable. Otherwise, very nice and totally wearable.
