US Marine officers of WW1 and WW2 often opted to purchase high quality, deluxe high russet leather riding boots from English boot makers. Worn along with a campaign hat and a pair of breeches, it created a dashing appearance. Marine officers in the field outfitted themselves in this style up through the middle years of the Pacific War. This pair of USMC Marine WW1 WW2 Officer's Deluxe Russet Leather Riding Boots are in good condition, with one shoe lace broken (taped) and they are fragile. Otherwise, the boots are in excellent shape, with no rips, holes or tears with a few scuffs and scrapes on the lustrous pebbled russet leather. They are complete with the original laces and feature cap toes and stitched leather soles. There is no size stamped on the boots, but they measure 11" from heel to toe, and 4" across the sole at their widest point. They were produced by the famous PEAL & Co. of London, and are so marked inside.

Peal & Co manufactured English shoes from 1565 until 1965. The once successful British firm catered to a variety of notable individuals and moved locations several times over the years before it was purchased by Foster & Sons.
