Shinra Kusakabe, a young man with the ability to ignite his feet, is known as "Devil's Footprints." As a child, he was shunned because a fire killed his mother and younger brother Sho twelve years ago. He joins Special Fire Force Company 8, a team of pyrokinetics dedicated to stopping Infernal attacks and investigating corruption in other fire companies. Shinra discovers that the fire was a cover for a cult called the White Clad to kidnap Sho. This cult aims to cause another Great Cataclysm and has agents within the Tokyo Empire. Company 8 and their allies fight against the White Clad to stop their plans.
