The second coin of the new extraordinary “Heroines” series! This series presents extremely brave and courageous women who have influenced the fate of many people.

Joan of Arc (French: Jeanne d’Arc) is a patron saint of France, honored as a defender of the French nation for her role in the siege of Orléans and her insistence on the coronation of Charles VII of France during the Hundred Years’ War. Stating that she was acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a savior of France.

Joan was born to a propertied peasant family at Domrémy in northeast France. In 1428, she requested to be taken to Charles, later testifying that she was guided by visions from the archangel Michael, Saint Margaret, and Saint Catherine to help him save France from English domination.

This coin is an excellent investment as well as collector’s item. It was struck from 2 ounces of pure silver. The reverse features a dynamic scene – Joanna D’Arc. The reverse on the coin was highlighted using UV colour printing. Furthermore, Joan holds a wooden cross in her left hand as an inset.

On the obverse there are ornaments and symbols of the heroine. The coin comes packaged in an elegant wooden box placed in a feminine wrapper. The whole is completed with a certificate of authenticity
