This is a vintage 8x10 inch photograph that was professionally photo lab printed on glossy real photographic paper. It has been stored in a filing cabinet in my archive since I acquired it. I have collected movie memorabilia all my life and have found many great photographic collections over the years. This photograph was originally printed in the 1980's to 2000's era. Very typical of the 1980's and 1990's photographs were printed on a high quality heavier glossy paper stock and often had a small white border. Many black and white photographs printed in the 1980’s and 1990’s were produced on wonderful fiber based paper with a glossy finish. This is a lost art from a forgotten photographic era and rarely used today. Fiber-based paper is just that: a photographic emulsion on a base of paper, which is made from fibers of wood. To ensure the highlights reflect enough light and that the shadows absorb enough light, manufacturers add a layer of barium sulfate. That's why photographers sometimes call fiber-based paper “baryta” paper. Photos printed in the early 2000's were usually on borderless glossy photographic paper.
