• Activation is achieved by pressing & holding the remote's button for 3 seconds.
  
  
• 15-Minute Remote Start Run Time: The engine will shut down automatically after 15 minutes.
  
  
• Active Remote Shut-Down: You can cancel the remote starter sooner the same way you activated it.
  
  
• Active Key-Takeover: The remote starter will not immediately shut down when the driver's door is opened.
  
  
• Automatically engages the vehicle's climate controls based on prior settings.

Standard SAE Safety & Security Features Include:

• This system is equipped with the same OEM safety and operating restrictions as Ford's factory installed remote starters: The system will detect any current or stored fault codes and will prevent the remote starter from activating. If the hood is open, the transmission is not in park, the vehicle's battery voltage is too low, the check engine light is on, or any stored DTC codes (no visual lights on the dash) will prevent the system from activating (you can also consult your vehicle's owners/operators manual).
  
  
• Entrance protection and safety: In addition, on most Ford vehicle's, depending on how the OEM ECM was configured, it will only allow key takeover to be performed within an allotted amount of time after entering the vehicle. This time span can range from 1 to 4 minutes before the engine will shut down if the key takeover has not been performed (you can also consult your vehicle's owners/operators manual).
  
  
• Fail-Safe Design: In any instance of a system failure, the system cannot prevent you from starting the vehicle normally with a key.
  
  
• This system cannot be activated by your factory remotes.
