This doll belonged to my mother when she was a little girl. My mother was born in 1953. She does not remember at what age the doll was given to her.
Doll is approximately 19 1/2 inches long. About 6 inches (give or take) across at the shoulders.
Limbs move freely.
Drink and Wet doll.
Sleepy eyes. At times one eye may stay open but a little movement of the body seems to quickly cause the eye to shut.
Body and limbs are a hard plastic. Face is of a softer material. Head has several indentations as if the poor baby got some hard knocks in its life!
I'm not sure who manufactured this doll baby as it seems a number of companies used the same mold for this head. Possibly the Ellanee company. At back of neck is stamped 20-7.
She/he has a few little scratches in the ears, stained/dirty toes, etc. and normal wear.
Comes with the home made aqua/blue dress my mother made for her doll more than 50 years ago and a pink nightgown which my grandmother had made when she gave the doll to her little girl.
Comes from a smoke free, no house pets home.
My mother decided it is time to get rid of clutter in her house. Age and health are limiting her time and energy to accomplish the many project ideas or to continue with all the activities she used to do. I offered my assistance to find new owners for the items she no longer has a use for.
