This is a rare BELEMNITELLA ELONGATA fossil belemnite from the Pliensbachian stage of the Early Jurassic period, discovered in Blockley, United Kingdom. Belemnites were extinct marine cephalopods closely related to modern squid and cuttlefish. Unlike ammonites, they had an internal shell called a guard, which fossilised over millions of years, leaving behind well-preserved, bullet-shaped remains that are commonly found in Jurassic marine deposits.
