Scarce early TLS letter from Franklin Roosevelt as Assistant Secretary of the Navy to his personal friend Morgan H.Hoyt editor of The Evening Journal Newspaper~ Beacon,New York. The letter dated November 28th 1913 responds to his friend's "Morg" concern about the state of the Beacon,New York Post Office. FDR states he has been inspecting the southern Navy Yards, and apologies for the delay in responding. This letter comes with the rare original mailing envelope.
