TLS letter from Franklin Roosevelt from the Executive Mansion in Albany,New York to his personal friend Morgan H.Hoyt editor of The Beacon Light~ Beacon,New York. The letter dated July 11th 1932 offers general acknowledgment of his previous letter.
Strong BOLD handsome signature by future President Elect- Roosevelt.

Roosevelt served as Governor of New York from 1929 to 1932, during which he tried to solve the farming recession and what he rightly saw as the serious threat of the Great Depression. At the time, President Hoover and numerous other governors believed that the United States would quickly recover. Roosevelt, however, saw the severity of the economic crisis, and established a state employment commission and was the first governor to publicly endorse the concept of an unemployment insurance. Roosevelt was elected the 32nd president one year later. After one year of his presidency, the Great Depression had already caused the unemployment rate to reach 25% in the U.S.
