What is Echizen Washi?
Echizen Washi is traditional Japanese paper from a village in Japan called Echizen. With a 1500 year old tradition of paper making, the paper produced is one of a kind. The paper is beautiful with visible fibers, and it is thicker than regular washi.

My name is Megumi Kitano (Pen name: Zuihou), and I started learning calligraphy at the age of 6. My father is a Grand Master of Japanese calligraphy, and I have trained under him since my childhood. I am an Associate Grand Master of Japanese calligraphy, and I also do kirie (cutting images from paper).
