In ancient times, this region encompassed most of present-day Aydın and Muğla provinces, as well as the western edge of Denizli province. The northern boundary is defined by the Büyük Menderes (Maiandros) River, while the Indos River forms the border with Lycia to the east. The Aegean Sea borders the west and south.

The stones used in this product come from natural environments, specifically the HERMOS River, which originates from Murat Mountain in Kütahya and flows into İzmir Bay. Today, it is known as the Gediz River.
