Vitamin D to maintain healthy bones, muscles and teeth
Due to its many positive properties, vitamin D plays a special role in our health: It contributes to the normal absorption and utilization of the minerals calcium and phosphorus as well as a normal calcium level in the blood and thus to the maintenance of normal bones, teeth and muscle functions. Vitamin D is also involved in cell division and supports the immune system.
Vitamin D has a special position: With sufficient exposure to sunlight, it is produced in the skin. However, the body's own production of the valuable "sun vitamin" is difficult in our latitudes, particularly in the dark season. In order to ensure an adequate supply of vitamin D, dietary supplements can be taken.
Taking 1 capsule of D3+K2 VIT AL daily can be sufficient as a daily dietary supplement and can counteract a deficiency. The dietary supplement also contains vitamin K2, which helps activate osteocalcin and thus bind calcium into the bones.
MenaQ7 for very good bioavailability
In D3+K2 VIT AL, vitamin D3 is efficiently combined with vitamin K2. To ensure that the K2 vitamin is well absorbed in the body, the dietary supplement contains MenaQ7, a scientifically tested form of vitamin K2 that is characterized by high bioavailability.
D3+K2 VIT AL can make a valuable contribution to your daily diet. Depending on the desired supply, D3+K2 VIT AL is available in different strengths and in capsule and drop form. The dietary supplement is free from preservatives, titanium dioxide, artificial colors, soy, milk protein, lactose, suitable for vegetarians and gluten-free.
RECOMMENDED USE:
Adults consume 1 capsule of D3+K2 VIT AL daily with a little water with any meal. Taking it with a meal containing oil or fat can have a positive effect on the absorption of the ingredients.
The recommended daily intake must not be exceeded.
NOTE: Dietary supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Frequently asked questions and answers
Can vitamin D also be taken in through food?
It is difficult to meet the need for vitamin D through diet, as there are only a few foods with a high vitamin D content. In Europe, only 10 to 20% of the vitamin D requirement is taken in through diet. *
Vitamin D is mainly found in fatty fish such as herring, salmon or eel, while eggs, offal, mushrooms and cheese have a much lower content.
What are the consequences of a vitamin D deficiency?
A vitamin D deficiency can lead to a serious disruption of bone metabolism. The bones lose their stability and can become deformed. Bone and muscle pain can also occur.
In older people, a vitamin D deficiency can promote the formation of osteoporosis and reduce the fracture strength of the bones.
What daily intake of vitamin D is appropriate?
If vitamin D cannot be produced through the skin, around 20 g per day is considered an appropriate intake of vitamin D. Around 2 to 4 g per day are usually absorbed through food, the majority is produced by the body itself. However, it requires a sufficient dose of sunlight for this.
How can vitamin D status be determined?
A reliable indicator of vitamin D status is the blood level of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D for short). This can be determined through a blood test and enables an objective assessment of vitamin D status. This test not only provides an indication of a possible deficiency, but also helps in choosing the optimal dosage of the dietary supplement.
