About The Record:

On a Magic Carpet, is an album by The Three Suns. "Climb aboard this album and you'll travel in spirit as well as in space - no surprise when you remember you're on a Magic Carpet. These are all tunes of the fifties, says Al Nevins, head man of the Three Suns, and the idea is to make people relive and remember the moods they were in when they heard these songs for the first time. Where were you, then, when you first heard the haunting 3rd Man Theme, or the lovely Song from Moulin Rouge? When did you first see the glowing colors of a Canadian Sunset? What was your introduction to the happy Gallic shrug with which The Poor People of Paris greet their life? And when did you first hear Fleur de Paree, composed by Morty Nevis and played by him here to evoke the moods and charm of a typical Paris neighborhood at sundown? You'll be visiting other lands, recalling other moods, too, with this delightful album - all stops in an itinerary planned by Al Nevins, crewed by The Suns and arranged for musically by the talented Charles Albertine
