#FEBAZKA

This is for 1 or more Bareroot Chelone Glabra (White Turtlehead). We have these growing naturally around our shop! When an order is placed we then go and collect the Chelone so it is as fresh as possible. This is a beautiful white flowering water loving plant that would look beautiful in any type of garden! It is a preferred host plant for the Baltimore Checkerspot Butterfly so hopefully it will bring your garden to life! White Turtlehead is named for its distinctive flowers which are said to resemble a turtle's head. The distinctive shape of this flower is reflected in the genus name, derived from the Greek chelone ("a tortoise"). This wetland plant will strongly prefer wet to moist soils in full to mostly sun. The blooms are pollinated mostly by bumblebees, which have the size and strength to pry open the bloom and reach the nectar inside.
