Our copy has the second state dust jacket which is priced at $2.95, with first state points of 0964 on the lower front flap and three reviews on the rear flap for Lafcadio. The photo on the back panel of the dust jacket is to the left and the author still has hair. The first state dust jacket is priced at $2.50. Most dust jackets have been price clipped and it is difficult to establish the first state without the price. Faint spotting (foxing) to the illustrated matte boards (not shiny), else a fine, tight copy that is internally clean with fresh white pages. The dust jacket has modest shelf wear with a very short tear to the upper front panel near the spine, and another tiny tear to the lower rear panel. A pleasing copy of this very collectible true first edition of this classic!
