Joanna Lumley stars in this energetic, comic romp about a woman who finds her life changed forever in a single night. Aristocratic Kate Swift has always lived the champagne lifestyle, until her unsavoury husband disappears, leaving her in trouble and in debt. However, Kate is at her best in a good fight. She forms an unlikely alliance with a young, Australian burglaress and a cowardly wreck of a journalist. Together they discover what happened to her husband and - most important - where the money went. Wit, instinct, and theft are the dubious tools of their trade as they try to stay out of jail - and the poorhouse.
