This giclée print is based on Patrick Block’s watercolour interpretation of a Carl Barks' amazing oil titled Afoul of the Flying Dutchman. The giclée is printed in just 30 signed and numbered copies on extremely exclusive arches white etching paper. The print measures approx. 50 x 60 cm and is accompanied by an identically numbered and hand-signed certificate of authenticity.
About the artist:
Patrick Block (b. 1958) has, together with his wife, Shelly, written more than 90 stories for Donald Duck Adventures etc. Patrick has also drawn stories and covers, etc. for Donald Duck magazines and other Disney releases all over the world, and his stories have been translated into more than 36 languages. In the period 1996-1998 Patrick worked closely together with Carl Barks on making the history, Somewhere In Nowhere, and various gags and designs for the drawings, which among other things can be seen in the book, The Carl Barks Treasury. Along with his production of stories and covers and freelance work for the Walt Disney Group, Patrick has started to use his excellent artistic skills to create watercolours and oil paintings and thereby continue Carl Barks’ proud tradition of making Disney art of the very highest quality.
