The most common Khachfar feature is a cross surmounting a rosette the Armenian motif of eternity sign and other motif could be added like the Etchmiadzin Cathedral and on the top Marie with baby Jesus for the particular wooden Khachfar.

The art of carving Khachkars has witnessed a rebirth as a symbol of Armenian culture a true characteristic of Medieval Christian Armenian art which everyone should have.
