RF (radio frequency)- Remote Controlled Wireless DEADBOLT- Brass Finish

This lock provides the convenience of keyless access to your home and will lock and unlock the door using a remote control radio frequency (RF) system. This signal can be used from inside or out from *150 feet away.

Radio Frequency opposed to Infrared. Radio Frequency is like the remote control for your car. This is not line of sight like some T.V. remotes where you have to see the door lock. This will work in all directions. 

If your hands are full or you have difficulty opening a door, this is for you.
