This is a 1935 Smith Corona Silent Portable Flat Top Typewriter. Serial No. 1S34506 (which dates it to 1935)

Beautiful maroon glossy finish. Pica Typeface 10 cpi. 

Good working condition.  Good cosmetic condition with a couple minor paint chips (see photos). 

All decals/emblems are in good condition, except for the "SILENT" at the rear, in back of platen.

The platen rubber is in good condition. Paper feeds rollers are in good condition and paper feeds as it should. 

The case is in good condition with some minor scuffing - latch works as it should. Has surface rust on the metal parts of the case only. 

The typewriter rubber feet are in good shape. The serial no. is under the lid on the right side next to the ribbon reel.

The ribbon is okay, but could be replaced for that more dark crisp look.

The Typewriter is clean, and has all its interior felt insulation. 

I have tested and all seems to work fine, I did not hear the bell ring. Margins right and left are set in back of the platen, there are two set tab keys at the back of the machine. The tab release key does work.

The paper holder is in back and you just lift each one up and push down as needed.

The tension adjustment lever is under the lid on the left edge. There is a shift lock key as well.

This is an amazing, and beautiful 90 year old typing machine ready to display and use.

I did not do any lubrication.

Platen and platen knobs look good. Keyboard keytops cleaned as well as the arms.

The backspace works fine.
